The Stool Yard Story

Hi, I’m the person behind The Stool Yard—your go-to for custom mechanics stools, creepers, and car accessories. I’ve spent most of my adult life cutting, sewing, and trimming van seats and specialist campervan seating, so getting things just right is second nature.

Cars, wheels, engines… I love them all. But The Stool Yard really kicked off in 2024 when my brother-in-law, a mechanic, asked me to make him a comfy creeper to wheel around on at work. One thing led to another, and here we are!

2025 saw me diving headfirst into the Scottish car show scene, chatting with fellow enthusiasts, seeing your pride and joys, and showing off a few of my creations. With each show, I’ve tried to bring something a little different—until now, I reckon I’m a bit of a one-stop shop for quality customised mechanics creepers and car accessories.

It’s not all about wheels though. I’m a reformed drummer and absolutely covered in tattoos, so when the chance comes to make a custom drum throne or tattoo stool, I’m all in.

I’m a bit of a perfectionist, but I’m also a people person—I love sitting down, having a laugh, and chatting with customers. Every piece we make reflects that: care, attention to detail, and a touch of personality.
